The Summer Project - Photos around the Flintshire Leisure Drive.

Competition. We will be organising a competition based around the summer project. The title of the competition is “Members In Action” so when you are out and about photographing for the project your other objective is to take photos of the club members taking photographs. We will arrange a night during the new season to present all the images and have a bit of fun judging them.

Pete mentioned last night that a number of the villages on the route have their own websites which might be useful for additional information. With that in mind the following are a few links that might help in that area:

www.aboutbritain.com/counties/towns-in-north-wales.asp

www.any-village.com/UK/Wales/Clwyd/

www.castlewales.com/home.html

www.cilcaintoday.org.uk

What to photograph – Please photograph anything that you feel will be of interest. Remember that the target audience will be the tourist community so keep picture postcards in mind when photographing. When out there please make sure you don’t break any rules. If you need access to any areas that at present are out of bounds please let me know. Flintshire County Council have promised to help us remove any barriers (within reason).

File Sizes – Keep your images down in size. If we need larger images when it comes to the publication we will request them. The naming convention is:

Your initial, surname, location, photo attraction and date (ddmm)

All spaces should be replaced with an underscore

For example: C_Noble_Flint_FlintCastle_1505

If you have several images of the same location you want to submit just add an A,B,C… to the end.

Submission – You can submit your images by CD in person or by e-mail to photo@noblemultimedia.co.uk. If e-mailing please keep each message to no more than 2Mb, or to the Fotopic site online. For those not working with digital please submit prints, slides or negatives for scanning. I will be at the Monday evening meetings at the Butcher’s Arms to accept any submissions. In the event that I am not there please pass them to Bob and I will arrange to collect them for him.

Finally, please start looking through the images you already have that might be suitable and start submitting.
